As one of the founders of Longleaf Title Insurance, and now as CEO, I see my role as a true Visionary — doing whatever it takes to help our team thrive and to turn our bold vision into reality. I thrive behind the scenes where I can implement the intelligent systems and processes necessary to fulfill our mission of a frictionless Real Estate Transaction, and where I can help Longleaf retain its position as a fast growing Title Company in the Triangle.
Simply put - my job is to enable our talented team to get in front of clients, build trust and be someone in YOUR corner. I give them the tools and resources they need to be available, be themselves and be knowledgeable. And when it works, it’s magic.
To me a perfect vacation is one where I come home totally exhausted from doing too much. Outside of work, I love to golf and stay active, and I cherish the time I get to spend with my husband and two dogs, Dumb and Dumber (real names - Ruthie and Lily).

As the Branch Manager here at Longleaf Title Insurance, my goal is to give the best possible service to our clients, with quick turnaround times on prior lookups and commitments to provide a top quality policy for the homebuyers. I pride myself in my work and strive to succeed.
My background consists of; Real Estate paralegal in a Law office for 18 years; worked as a Team Lead/Paralegal in a Government housing Finance company for 10 years and a Title underwriter for the past 3 years. The skills obtained through my years of experience in the related roles has given me the tools to offer excellent customer service.
I spend my spare time with my two daughters, my fur babies and family. Scrapbooking and paper crafting is a long time hobby of mine that I enjoy doing with my mother. An ideal weekend getaway is to the mountains. I love the scenic view and the peace and quiet to relax.
Colleen Hanson
Director of Operations
As Director of Operations here at Longleaf Title Insurance, my job is to bringing new and fresh ideas to constantly evolve our business. I have been a part of the Real Estate world since 2015, and found myself as the Core Services Manager for the highest reviewed brokerage in the Triangle. I love numbers and being able to provide agents the additional support they need, which helped me transition into my role now as a director with Longleaf Title. I'm happy to be a part of this growing company and team, as there's something special about seeing something grow from the ground up. Before our eyes we've seen Longleaf take off, and I'm so excited to see what we do next. Outside of being part of the Longleaf family, I am a wife, mom, and beach lover. Our family loves to be out on the water or playing in the sand any chance we can get. More than a director, Longleaf believes in creating relationships. So don't be fooled by the title. Colleen...your friend, partner, teammate, shoulder to cry on, etc. at your service!

I am one of the lead title underwriters at Longleaf Title and strive to have the fastest and best customer experience in the industry. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my husband, daughter and several bossy cats. We love beach and lakeside vacations every spring and fall.
